The people building the Crossmedia experience:
Gavin McGarry, Founder, Jumpwire Media
Before founding Jumpwire Media in 2009 Gavin worked for online video start up Joost and was the Head of Cross Platform Business Development at global television production company Endemol. His past experience includes positions at major television networks as well as owning and operating a television production company and a boutique advertising agency. He is invited to speak at media industry conferences on a regular basis including: MIPCOM, Harvard Business Club of New York, NAPTE, Xmedia Lab, etc.
Jennifer Harkness, Founder, Jumpwire Media
Jennifer Harkness has more than 18 years of experience in the film and television industry. Most recently, as Head of Development Factual Entertainment for Temple Street, Jennifer spearheaded the development of non-scripted programs including Temple Street’s highly-rated competitive food program Recipe to Riches (Food Network Canada, Global) and the competitive music show Cover Me Canada (CBC). Jennifer is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Producer Lab where she successfully produced several short films which screened in festivals around the world.
Micol Marotti, Executive Producer, Jumpwire Media
Micol has more than 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry, that includes: producing roles at CTV, Global TV, OMNI and CityTV. She has worked in managerial positions at Alliance Communications, ACTRA, The Academy of Canadian Cinema & TV, The National Film Board of Canada, the Banff World Television Festival and Temple Street Productions. She co-produced a short film, Crust that was officially selected for the Palm Springs Film Festival and screened at the American Cinematheque in Los Angeles. She is the writer and producer of a number of documentary films and series including Open Doors narrated by Isabella Rossellini (RTI), and the award-winning short doc Billy Bishop: Canadian Maverick and the documentary feature film, Operation Oblivion.
